Trump: Putin Is Interested in Making a Deal Between Russia and Ukraine
US President Donald Trump stated that he had an "excellent" conversation with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to foreign media, he told journalists this at Andrews Air Force Base near Washington.
According to Trump, Putin is interested in ending the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.
"He (Putin - ed.) wants to make a deal. If (Ukrainian President Volodymyr - ed.) Zelensky also wants to make a deal, that would be very good," the American leader said.
Trump also did not rule out holding a new bilateral meeting with the Russian president: "We had a good conversation. It could happen."
