At this moment, the final of the international beauty pageant "Miss Universe" is taking place in Thailand, which has been particularly scandalous this year. More than 130 participants from around the world have gathered to find out who made it to the coveted lists. Russia, as a reminder, is represented by 22-year-old Anastasia Venza from the Moscow region, however, she was not initially predicted to achieve significant results. As expected, Anastasia did not make it to the top 30.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Starhit, the finalists were distributed as follows: representatives from India, China, Guadeloupe, Thailand, Dominican Republic, Brazil, Cuba, Bangladesh, Palestine, Japan, Canada, France, Paraguay, Guatemala, USA, Malta and several other countries made it to the top 30. Contestants from Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Guadeloupe, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, China, Philippines, Thailand, Malta and Ivory Coast advanced to the top 12. The top five included participants from Thailand, Ivory Coast, Venezuela, Mexico and the Philippines.

The winner was Fatima Bosh from Mexico - the same contestant who was insulted by one of the directors of "Miss Universe" at the beginning of the competition. As a reminder, just a few days before the final, two jury members of the organizing committee resigned. Among them - Omar Arfush, who accused colleagues of fraud and corruption. According to him, the list of the top 30 was determined in advance, and one of the participants had a romantic relationship with one of the judges. Arfush intends to pursue legal proceedings in court.

He made an official statement:

"I, Omar Arfush, resigning member of the international jury of the "Miss Universe" contest, announce that I have consulted with one of the leading law firms in New York regarding the possibility of filing a complaint with the Attorney General against the contest organizers. Issues under consideration include fraud, abuse of power, corruption, misleading people, breach of contract, conflict of interest, as well as emotional and reputational damage. I have learned that before the arrival of the official jury, a secret and illegal vote was conducted to select the top 30 participants. It took place among people who were not part of the official judges, including at least one person who was in a romantic relationship with a contestant. This represents a serious conflict of interest and could be classified as collusion and manipulation.

Furthermore, I was misled and used publicly to create the appearance of trust in an already compromised election process. The emotional stress, reputational harm, and significant efforts, including work on original music for the event, cannot be considered insignificant and will be included in legal claims for compensation."
