The attacker who carried out the assault on the Azerbaijan Embassy in Iran has been executed

The attacker of the Azerbaijani embassy in Iran was executed this morning.
As Report informs, the information was distributed by the judicial system of Iran.
The sentence was carried out after the Supreme Court approved the decision of the court of first instance.
Recall that on the morning of January 27, 2023, there was an armed attack on the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Iran. The attacker broke through the security post of the diplomatic mission and killed the head of security Orkhan Askerov with a Kalashnikov rifle. Two more embassy security officers, Vasif Tagiyev and Mahir Imanov, were injured while repelling the attack.
On January 30, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan evacuated embassy staff from Tehran, and the embassy's activities were suspended. In connection with the attack, the State Security Service of Azerbaijan initiated a criminal case under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code.
