The claim that Kılıç married her cousin's ex-husband caused major discussions on social media. Not denying the allegations, Kılıç emphasized in her statement that their relationship began 5 years ago, while her cousin got divorced 10 years ago.

"Since our wedding day, unfounded news has increased. My husband's marriage ended 10 years ago, and our relationship began 5 years ago. There is no infidelity or family breakup involved. There is no problem between me and my husband's ex-wife. These circulating news have just upset her a lot," Kılıç stated.
