Russian Foreign Ministry: Macron's statements are a threat against Russia

French President Emmanuel Macron preferred the tactics of loud public rhetoric instead of calling Russian President Vladimir Putin.
As reported by BAKU.WS, this was stated in the Russian Foreign Ministry's statement regarding Macron's remarks.
"It should be noted that the French leader repeatedly stated his intention to call the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin to discuss ways of peaceful settlement in Ukraine and ensuring security in Europe. The Russian side has always been open to such conversation. However, Emmanuel Macron again preferred the tactics of loud public rhetoric," - emphasized the Russian Foreign Ministry.
Macron's speech revealed Paris's ambitions, with notes of nuclear blackmail, according to the statement. "Macron's speech clearly contains notes of nuclear blackmail. Paris's ambitions to become Europe's nuclear 'patron' have burst out, offering its nuclear umbrella almost as a replacement for the American one. Need we say that this will not lead to strengthening the security of either France or its allies," - indicated the Russian Foreign Ministry.
Furthermore, Macron's statements are a threat to Russia, while Moscow has never threatened Paris, the diplomatic department pointed out. "The French President is convincing his own citizens of an imaginary 'existential threat' from Russia. In reality, Russia has never threatened France, but, on the contrary, helped it defend its independence and sovereignty in two world wars. However, Macron's statements essentially constitute a threat to Russia," - the text emphasizes. - "The French leader appeals to his country's foreign policy traditions, but his theses go against these traditions, against the ideological heritage of Gaullism."
