Putin responded to rumors about Kadyrov's resignation with a Mark Twain quote

The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, reported on a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, during which they discussed rumors circulating in the information space about the possible resignation of the republic's leader. Kadyrov shared details of the conversation in his Telegram channel.
"Vladimir Vladimirovich, commenting on recent discussions on the internet, again quoted Mark Twain's famous words: 'Reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated,'" Kadyrov wrote.
The Chechen leader particularly noted the president's statement that "they still have work and more work to do." In this regard, Kadyrov assured that he would continue to carry out the orders of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief.
The day before, Ramzan Kadyrov publicly announced his request to be relieved of his position. In a conversation with media representatives, he also commented on the spreading information about his possible imminent resignation.
Later, the head of Chechnya emphasized that the final decision about his position lies exclusively within the competence of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
