Participant of the "Mrs. Russia" contest beaten to death
The body of 40-year-old Natalia Maurer, a participant in the prestigious "Mrs. Russia" contest and a well-known violinist, was found in Moscow. This was reported by Baza.
The woman was found without signs of life on May 3 in a Moscow apartment belonging to Alexei Pashtaev - a surgeon and senior researcher at the "Eye Microsurgery" center. Disorder and signs of struggle were recorded in the premises.
According to information from investigative authorities, Maurer and Pashtaev lived together. The apartment owner has been detained and is under arrest. He has been charged with intentionally causing grievous bodily harm resulting in the victim's death by negligence.
Natalia Maurer was the winner of the "Mrs. Nizhny Novgorod" contest, which opened her way to participate in the national "Mrs. Russia" competition. In addition, she performed as a violinist in a duet with her husband, a ballet soloist at the Nizhny Novgorod Opera and Ballet Theater.
