Elon Musk demanded $134 billion from OpenAI and Microsoft for fraud
World 14

American entrepreneur Elon Musk demanded multi-billion dollar compensation from OpenAI and Microsoft for damages. He accused the corporations of fraud.

As Oxu.Az reports, this was announced by Bloomberg agency with reference to court documents.

As Elon Musk noted in his lawsuit, OpenAI allegedly misled him by abandoning the non-commercial nature of its activities. Therefore, the entrepreneur now believes he is entitled to a portion of the company's current capitalization. The latter is estimated at approximately $500 billion.

According to the plaintiffs, OpenAI improperly used about $38 million in initial investments made by Musk in 2015 when the company was established. And subsequently profited from it.

"Musk wants OpenAI and Microsoft to pay him damages ranging from $79 to $134 billion," Bloomberg writes.

OpenAI itself stated that they consider the lawsuit to be an element of a pressure campaign and harassment from Musk.
