Denmark is offered to take a desperate step for the sake of Greenland
In order to prevent the United States of America (USA) from seizing Greenland, Denmark should relocate the court of Crown Prince Christian to Nuuk. According to experts, this will help secure Copenhagen's sovereignty over the island and strengthen ties with it.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to the Danish tabloid BT, this initiative was proposed by Niels Jespersen, editor-in-chief of the newspaper Netavisen Pio and public figure. According to him, the permanent presence of a royal family member would be an important political and symbolic step.
The article notes that either the Crown Prince himself or another representative of the royal family should maintain a permanent court not only in Nuuk but also in Tórshavn. Additionally, he should be fluent in Greenlandic and Faroese languages, which, as emphasized, would help dispel rumors about Denmark's weak ties with the autonomous territories.
"We must do a lot to try to unite us culturally," Jespersen concluded, emphasizing the importance of strengthening identity and trust between Denmark, Greenland, and the Faroe Islands.
