At the "Miss Universe 2025" contest, a participant fell on stage: she was carried away on a stretcher

At the Miss Universe 2025 semifinals, which recently took place in Thailand, an unfortunate incident occurred. Jamaica's representative, 29-year-old Gabrielle Henry, fell on stage so severely that she had to be carried away on a stretcher.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Vietnam.vn, Gabrielle stumbled and fell during her evening gown presentation. She immediately required medical assistance, after which she was carried off stage, while the competition continued without interruption.

The organizing committees of "Miss Universe" and "Miss Universe Jamaica" have not yet made official statements about Gabrielle Henry's condition, the extent of her possible injuries, or whether she will need hospitalization and if the ophthalmologist will be able to recover in time for the finals.

Just minutes before the incident, Gabrielle was shining on stage during the evening gown competition. She is considered one of the most notable participants of Miss Universe 2025. In August of this year, she received the title of "Miss Universe Jamaica 2025," and this is her second attempt at the national level.

Henry works as an ophthalmologist at the University Hospital of the West Indies and promotes an international public health initiative, with a special focus on vision care and support for people with visual impairments. She has repeatedly emphasized how women can combine a challenging medical profession with creative pursuits such as theater.

Before traveling to Thailand, Gabrielle also experienced personal difficulties: at the end of October, her native Jamaica was hit by Hurricane Melissa, which caused significant damage. Despite her difficult emotional state, she came to the competition determined to represent her country as well as possible.
