After 13 cardiac arrests: 11-year-old Netflix star has died

11-year-old Brazilian actress Millena Brandao, who starred in the Netflix series "Like-minded," died on May 2 after a series of cardiac arrests.

The official cause of death has not yet been disclosed, however, media reports state that the girl experienced at least 13 cardiac arrests shortly before her death.

Millena's mother published a farewell message on social media: "You were the light in my life... I will love you forever".

According to Splash publication, on April 28, the girl first sought medical help at a São Paulo clinic with complaints of fever, body aches, and headache. She was discharged with a prescription for pills, but the very next day she was re-hospitalized in a more serious condition and soon passed away.

Municipal authorities have launched an investigation. The parents filed a police report, suspecting possible medical negligence. The family's interests are represented by attorney Antonio Carlos Neto.
