Popular cosmetic procedure's danger revealed
Blogger Coco Hayashi talked about the danger of a popular cosmetic procedure for the skin. According to her, microneedle therapy at home can lead to serious consequences, including skin damage and scarring. The corresponding material was published in the New York Post.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to the New York Post (NYP), the influencer purchased a special device for microneedling at home and decided to warn her subscribers. She noted that slow and incorrect pressure on the skin during the procedure can significantly increase the risk of scarring.
Dermatologist Ksenia Kobets, in turn, emphasized that such devices can cause infections or irreversible skin damage. According to her, home microneedling devices are not regulated by uniform standards, and users are often not explained which products can be applied to the skin after the procedure.
Nurse Limor Weinberg also warned that improper technique when using the device can lead to serious problems. She specified that excessive pressure or aggressive movements can cause scratches, enlarged pores, chronic redness, and even scarring.
