Doctors warned about two "nighttime" signs of cancer
Symptoms such as insomnia and severe night sweats can, in some cases, signal serious disorders in the body, including cancer, foreign medical experts note. This was reported by representatives of Cancer Research UK.
As reported by BAKU.WS citing Surrey Live, doctors emphasize that such manifestations often have more benign causes. These include stress, infections, the use of certain medications, or hormonal changes. However, in the development of malignant processes, such symptoms may be associated with intoxication of the body, thermoregulation failures, or characteristics of specific types of tumors.
According to Western specialists, particular attention should be paid to cases where night sweats become intense and occur without obvious reasons. A warning sign is considered to be a situation in which a person has to change clothing or bedding due to excessive perspiration.
Medical professionals also advise being alert if other symptoms are added to these manifestations — for example, unexplained fever, pain, or bouts of nausea. At the same time, experts emphasize that the presence of such signs is not direct evidence of cancer.
According to Cancer Research UK specialists, paying close attention to one's body is of key importance. Doctors recommend not ignoring sudden or unusual changes in well-being and seeking medical help in a timely manner for examination.
