# Doctor Warned About Foods That Can Change the Color of Teeth

Black tea and red wine are capable of changing the color of tooth enamel. Dentist Irina Nazilina told this in an interview with RIA Novosti.
According to the specialist, darkening of enamel is caused by foods and beverages containing coloring substances. Black coffee, tea, and Coca-Cola have a particularly strong effect on tooth color. In addition, some spices can lead to a change in enamel shade - for example, curry and turmeric.
Nazilina noted that red wine has the greatest impact. To reduce the effect of coloring substances, the doctor advised drinking tea with lemon or water with lemon.
