World Championship: Ibrahim Hasanov advances to the semifinals - UPDATED

Azerbaijani freestyle wrestler Ibrahim Hasanov has advanced to the semifinals of the U-17 World Championship in Baku.

As Report informs, the athlete competing in the up to 51 kg weight category defeated India's Govinda Govinda in the quarterfinals with a score of 10:3.

Earlier in the round of 16, I. Hasanov defeated Georgia's Giorgi Narimanidze with a score of 4:2.

As Report informs, the athlete competing in the up to 51 kg weight category defeated Georgian wrestler Georgi Narimanidze in the round of 16 with a score of 4:2 and advanced to the next stage.

The World Championship is being held at the National Gymnastics Arena. Around 700 young wrestlers from more than 60 countries are participating in the competition. Azerbaijan is represented by 29 wrestlers.
