Ukraine's coach Sergey Rebrov: I apologize to everyone for this result

As Oxu.az reports, this was stated by the head coach of the Ukrainian national football team Sergey Rebrov at the post-match press conference.
"I already said yesterday that there are no weak opponents. I also want to note that the condition of the field was not ideal. We lost points because we couldn't perform well. The Azerbaijan team was counting on counterattacks, and we failed to implement our plan. Only in the last 10 minutes were we able to show an attacking game. The opponent performed well on counterattacks. I apologize to everyone for this result. The game didn't turn out the way we wanted. I would have been dissatisfied with the style of play even if we had won 1-0," said the specialist.
Recall that the 2026 World Cup qualifying match between the national teams of Azerbaijan and Ukraine was held at the Tofik Bakhramov Republican Stadium and ended in a 1-1 draw.
