The number of athletes who will represent Azerbaijan at the III CIS Countries Games has been announced

Azerbaijan will be represented by 340 athletes in 23 sports at the III CIS Games.

As reported by BAKU.WS, the total delegation will consist of 475 people.

The largest number of Azerbaijani athletes will compete in judo and fencing - 32 each. 28 athletes will compete in taekwondo and volleyball.

Azerbaijani athletes will also participate in team sports: football, pair rowing, volleyball, and 3x3 basketball. In addition, our country will be represented in rhythmic gymnastics with a team in group exercises.

It should be noted that Azerbaijan, as the host country, will compete with two teams in several sports - judo, taekwondo, fencing, badminton, and karate.

The III CIS Games will be held from September 28 to October 8 in 7 cities of Azerbaijan - Ganja, Gabala, Mingachevir, Goygol, Khankendi, Yevlakh, and Sheki. The opening and closing ceremonies of the Games will take place at the Ganja Central City Stadium.
