"Neftchi" signed a Croatian footballer

Football club "Neftchi" has signed a contract with a Croatian footballer.

This was stated in the club's announcement.

According to the information, Croatian footballer Vicko Ševelj has become a new player for "Neftchi".

A three-year contract has been signed with the 25-year-old defensive midfielder. He will wear the number 88 shirt for "Neftchi".

In addition to his primary position, Ševelj can play in the center and on the right flank of the defense. Throughout his career, he has played for clubs in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Russia, Slovenia, and Scotland.

The footballer's most recent club was "Dundee United". Last season, he played 40 matches for the team across all competitions and recorded three assists.

In the 2026/27 season, Ševelj participated in all three opening rounds of the Scottish championship, as well as in all five Scottish League Cup matches.
