"Neftchi" and "Qarabag" issued a joint statement
Azerbaijan's leading football clubs - "Neftchi" and "Qarabag" - have called on fans to follow the rules and show respect to the opposing team and their supporters ahead of their head-to-head match in Round XXIX of the Misli Premier League.
The clubs' joint statement notes that on April 26 and 30, the attention of Azerbaijan's football community will be focused on Palms Sports Arena, where the teams will meet twice within a four-day interval.
The statement emphasizes that tickets for the matches are in high demand, and the stands are expected to be completely filled. "Neftchi" and "Qarabag" expressed confidence that the teams will fight for victory until the end and called on fans to support their clubs in a spirit of respect and fair play.
"We urge our fans to remain composed, show respect to the opponent, their supporters, and all match participants, supporting the teams within the framework of high culture and fair play," the statement reads.
The clubs also reminded that football remains a game where the result can vary for each side and emphasized the importance of adhering to ethical standards. "Each of us should stay within acceptable limits and demonstrate professionalism and respect for the opponent," the text states.
As a reminder, the first match will take place tomorrow, April 26, at 19:00 at Palms Sports Arena.
