Grand Slam: Azerbaijani Judokas Win Gold and Bronze
Azerbaijani judokas concluded the first day of the Grand Slam tournament being held in the Mongolian capital Ulaanbaatar with two medals.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, Nizami Imranov (66 kg) faced local Mongolian athlete Yolk Kazyrbek in the bronze medal bout.
The national team member, having defeated his opponent, won the bronze medal.
Earlier, Balabay Agayev (60 kg) won the gold medal.

Azerbaijani judoka Balabay Agayev (60 kg) won the gold medal at the Grand Slam tournament in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
As reported by BAKU.WS, in the final Agayev defeated the reigning world champion from Japan, Ryuju Nagayama.
Ahmad Yusifov (60 kg) lost in the bronze medal match to Israeli Yitzhak Ashpiz. Nizami Imranov (66 kg) will compete for the bronze against Mongolian judoka Yolk Kazyrbek.
Ruslan Pashayev (66 kg), Shafag Hamidova (48 kg), and Gultaj Mammadaliyeva (52 kg) were left without medals.
It should be noted that the Grand Slam tournament will conclude on June 21. Azerbaijan is represented by 17 athletes.
