Formula 1: No sprint race is planned for the 2026 Azerbaijan Grand Prix

No sprint race is planned for the 2026 Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix.
As reported by BAKU.WS, this is reflected in the International Automobile Federation (FIA) calendar for the tournament.
Sprint races will be held at stages in China, USA, Canada, Great Britain, Netherlands, and Singapore. Canada, Netherlands, and Singapore will be hosting races in this format for the first time.
It should be noted that in 2023, a sprint race was held at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix for the first time. The winner was Sergio Perez, who competed for the Red Bull team. In 2024 and 2025, the sprint race was excluded from the stage calendar.
