Azerbaijani wrestler disqualified for doping for 36 months
Azerbaijan National Anti-Doping Agency has disqualified wrestler Aslan Abakarov for 36 months.
This was reported to BAKU.WS by the agency's press service.
The reason was the presence of a prohibited substance or its metabolites and markers in the samples taken from the athlete, as well as the use or attempted use of a prohibited substance or prohibited method by the athlete.
The term of the sanction, applied on February 7, will expire on February 7, 2028.
It should be noted that the 21-year-old wrestler won a bronze medal in the 97 kg weight category at the Azerbaijan Championship in December 2024.
