Azerbaijan national futsal team secured their first victory at the World Cup

The Azerbaijan national futsal team secured their first victory at the World Championship taking place in Baku.

As Report informs, in the second round of the group stage, the team competing in Group A met with the Slovenia national team at the National Gymnastics Arena. Elshad Guliyev's squad achieved a confident victory with a score of 4:0.

Goals for the Azerbaijan national team were scored by:

Elvin Alizade (10th minute), Mirmehdi Rzayev (11), Khatai Bagirov (25), Kamran Abdullazade (40).

It should be noted that in the first round, the Azerbaijan national team drew with Bahrain (1:1), while Slovenia also shared points with Mauritania with the same score.
