Who in Azerbaijan can receive a one-time allowance from the state?

The Azerbaijani state provides citizens with one-time benefits in various life situations to strengthen social welfare.

According to BAKU.WS, these benefits are designed to provide financial support to citizens during important life moments – at the birth of a child, loss of loved ones, first employment, return after serving a sentence, or relocation for work in liberated territories.

Here are the main types of one-time benefits in Azerbaijan, their amounts, and categories of recipients:

Child birth benefit: A one-time benefit of 500 manats is paid for each newborn.

Funeral benefit: In the event of the death of a labor pension recipient, the person organizing the funeral receives a one-time benefit equal to three times the minimum labor pension as of the date of death. In case of death of a social benefit recipient or unemployment insurance payment recipient, 500 manats are paid.

Benefit for those released from places of detention: Persons who have served a sentence of imprisonment and need medical and social assistance receive a one-time cash benefit equal to four times the minimum monthly wage.

Benefit for specialists working in liberated territories: Specialists who have concluded an employment contract for at least one year to work in these territories receive a one-time benefit of 600 manats to support initial material and living conditions.

Benefit for persons who have lost parents or been deprived of parental care: Persons in this category receive a one-time benefit of 6000 manats upon their first employment.
