Shocking incident in an Azerbaijani school: students attacked a teacher

In the city of Ganja, a teacher was injured during a conflict between a teacher and students.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, the incident occurred at secondary school-lyceum No. 4 with advanced study of foreign languages.

According to preliminary information, during a break, a dispute arose between two students from grades IX and X and a school teacher - F. Guliyev (born in 1985). The cause of the conflict was the teacher's remark about the inappropriate behavior of the students in the corridor. During the incident, physical pressure was exerted on the teacher, resulting in him being injured and seeking medical assistance.

The Ganja-Dashkesan Regional Education Department confirmed the fact of the incident in response to Report's inquiry. The school administration promptly intervened in the situation: the students' parents were invited to the school, and the school psychologist conducted an explanatory conversation with them. The administration once again emphasized the need to observe discipline and behavioral norms in the educational institution.

Law enforcement agencies are investigating the incident.
