Problems with BakıKart cards: a growing wave of discontent among passengers

Recently, a wave of discontent has been growing on social networks related to problems with "BakıKart" cards.
Users report that sudden card blocking without prior notification often leaves them literally halfway to their destination.
Residents also express dissatisfaction with the insufficient number of "BakıKart" terminals throughout the city. Baku TV channel sent an official request to the "BakıKart" page to clarify the situation.
In response to the request, service representatives explained that the "BakıKart" card with unlimited use rights allows passengers to make an indefinite number of trips on public transport, provided that the balance is topped up in a timely manner:
"The warranty period of the "BakıKart" card with unlimited use rights is 3 years from the first use. If the card is not used during this period, the contract with the user is considered terminated. For making payments in Baku, there are 180 "BakıKart" terminals and 2600 other payment methods operating. We also recommend using an alternative method - online top-up".
In addition, service representatives noted that currently, "BakıKart" balance can be topped up through various mobile applications, as well as creating a QR ticket. All these innovations are aimed at ensuring payment convenience for citizens.
