In Azerbaijan, the retirement age for women is being raised

In Azerbaijan, the gradual increase of the retirement age for women continues, reports BAKU.WS citing Telegraph.
Until June 30, 2025, the retirement age for men will be 65 years, and for women - 64 years.
From July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026, the retirement age for men will remain unchanged, however for women it will increase by another six months and will be 64 years and 6 months.
According to Article 7 of the law "On Labor Pensions", the age limit for men was raised every six months from July 1, 2017 to July 1, 2021, and for women this process will last from July 1, 2017 to July 1, 2027.
Thus, from July 1, 2021, the retirement age for men is 65 years. By July 1, 2027, the retirement age for women will also reach 65 years.
Let us recall that according to Article 7 of the law "On Labor Pensions", the right to a labor pension by age is held by persons who have reached retirement age, provided that the pension capital recorded in the insurance part of the individual account ensures pension provision of no less than the minimum amount of labor pension regardless of insurance experience. In case this condition is not met, the presence of insurance experience of at least 25 years is required (except for persons to whom a labor pension by age was assigned before July 1, 2017).
