Important changes in the Baku metro: what awaits passengers in the near future

"An environmental impact assessment has been conducted on the territory and appropriate planning work has been carried out. First of all, along with tree transplantation, measures for their care are planned".

This was stated by the press secretary of "Baku Metro" CJSC Bakhtiyar Mammadov in his statement to BAKU.WS.

The organization's representative added that the depot design includes the creation of green zones and planting up to 1000 trees and seasonal flowers:

"When creating green spaces, attention will be paid to ensuring the vegetation cover matches the characteristics of the territory. Environmental requirements have also been defined for the service and production areas that will be created on the territory.

As an example, we can cite such important issues as economical use of water on the territory, reprocessing of used water in the train washing area, and a waste disposal program. The use of solar panels is also planned for the future".
