Happy news for metro users

"In accordance with the state program, the acquisition of about 300 new carriages is planned by 2030".

This was reported to BAKU.WS by the press secretary of Baku Metro CJSC, Bakhtiyar Mammadov.

According to him, monitoring of global manufacturers continues with the aim of acquiring new trains:

"Simultaneously, meetings, discussions, and negotiations are being conducted based on the main technical specifications of the Baku Metro. We can note that 20 carriages were supposed to be delivered to the Baku Metro this year, and 30 carriages in 2026. However, according to the results of negotiations with the manufacturer, the delivery of 6 trains consisting of 30 carriages to Baku will be carried out during 2025".
