Expert made alarming statement about some buildings in Baku

Most new buildings in Baku can withstand earthquakes, however, there are buildings in the capital of Azerbaijan that pose a serious threat to residents in case of underground tremors.

This alarming information was voiced by well-known real estate expert Ramil Gasymzade during the broadcast of the "Aktual gündəm" program on Baku TV channel.

"Buildings that were originally designed as three-story structures but were later built up to twelve floors pose a particular danger. Such structures are most common in the Absheron and Khatayi districts. In the event of a strong earthquake, these houses could become sources of large-scale tragedies in the future," warned the specialist.
