Counterfeit dairy products sale through social networks prevented
The Food Safety Agency of Azerbaijan (FSAA) conducted an inspection of a business entity in the Masazir settlement of the Absheron district based on consumer complaints.
As Oxu.Az was informed by the agency, it was established that dairy products (sour cream, cheese, etc.) containing powdered milk and milk fat substitutes were purchased from several manufacturing companies. The original labels were removed from the packaging, after which the products were sold through social networks TikTok and Instagram as natural dairy products, without any accompanying documentation.
It was also revealed that the products were delivered in a passenger car not equipped with refrigeration, violating temperature regime requirements.
In connection with the identified violations, appropriate measures were taken within the framework of legislation, and the illegal activity was stopped.
