Can hair dyes cause infertility?

During research recently conducted in the Czech Republic, it was found that some hair dyes can cause infertility, as these dyes contain the toxic aldehyde lilial, which poses a threat to reproductive health.

Due to its harmful effects, this substance has been banned in European Union countries since 2023. In addition to infertility, it can cause scalp problems.

A survey conducted among residents of the capital showed that many pay attention to choosing hair dyes, trying to use safe products. However, not everyone is able to understand the composition and evaluate the reliability of the brand. Some respondents also shared negative experiences, linking the deterioration of hair condition with the use of certain dyes.
