Bolt, a taxi aggregator service company, is facing an increasing number of passenger complaints about discrepancies between the car stated in the application and the one that actually arrives in response to a call. Often, instead of the expected licensed taxi, a car in poor condition arrives that does not have permission to transport passengers.

Such situations not only cause customer dissatisfaction but also create a threat to their safety. Passengers waste time looking for the right vehicle and experience stress, not knowing who is transporting them and in what vehicle.

In response to Metbuat.az's inquiry, Bolt representatives reported that the company is taking active measures to address this issue. The main goal of the service is to ensure high-quality services and protect the interests of both passengers and conscientious drivers.

According to Azerbaijan legislation, only licensed taxis can work with the Bolt application. However, some drivers register a permitted vehicle and then go on duty with an illegal transport. To prevent such cases, since 2024, the company has implemented a digital verification system. Now, several times a month, drivers must confirm the correspondence between the declared and used vehicle, which allows for quick identification of violations.

Bolt urges passengers who encounter such problems to report them immediately through the application to customer support.
