A bag with 19th century books was found in a river in Azerbaijan

19th century books found in a river in Masalli district of Azerbaijan.

As APA reports, a bag containing 9 books was found in the Chaykesh river, which flows along the roadside of Mamedoba - Tuado in Masalli district.

The bag was pulled out of the river by Masalli resident Rauf Jabiyev. According to local residents, several more similar bags floated down the river, but they could not be retrieved.

Upon examining the books, it was discovered that they were written in Arabic. Preliminary conclusions by local religious figures indicate that the books are of religious nature and were published in the 19th century.
