The Russian Foreign Ministry made a statement regarding the "Trump Route"

The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs intends to study the details of the "Trump Route" project - the Zangezur Corridor, which is proposed through the territory of Armenia.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Russian media, this was stated by the Deputy Director of the Information and Press Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry Alexey Fadeev at a briefing.
"Regarding the 'Trump Route', we have reserved our position. The Russian Foreign Ministry will study the details of the project, which have not yet been made public. The involvement of external forces in the South Caucasus should contribute to advancing the peace agenda, not create new problems and dividing lines," Fadeev noted.
He added that when developing and making decisions on unblocking transport communications in the region, a number of factors need to be taken into account, including Armenia's membership in the Eurasian Economic Union and the presence of Russian border guards in the Syunik region.
