The Baku Court on Grave Crimes held another hearing in the criminal case of TikToker Aybeniz Khalilova, better known on social media under the pseudonym Beniz, who is accused of extorting money through threats.

As reported by Oxu.Az, at the trial presided over by Judge Fakhri Mammadov, the completion of the judicial investigation was announced.

Then, prosecutor Babakhan Gasanaliyev, in the course of maintaining the state prosecution, requested that A. Khalilova be sentenced to 11 years of imprisonment.

Since the defense attorneys requested time for their statements, the next hearing has been scheduled for July 21.

As a reminder, a complaint against the TikToker was filed with the Surakhani District Police Department by her close acquaintance Khalid Karimov. In his statement, the plaintiff indicated that Aybeniz Khalilova had demanded 836,000 manats from him in installments.

Based on the evidence presented by the complainant, law enforcement authorities opened a criminal case against the woman under Articles 182.2.2 and 182.2.4 (extortion committed repeatedly with the aim of seizing property of significant value) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan.

A pretrial detention measure was imposed on the suspect by a decision of the Surakhani District Court.
