The global balance of power is shifting: what messages were voiced in Antalya?
The Antalya Diplomacy Forum, held this year under the motto "Overcoming Uncertainties in Planning the Future," became one of the key discussion platforms of world diplomacy.
As reported by BAKU.WS, this is stated in a video material by Baku TV.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stated in his speech that the global balance of power is changing, the international system is entering a stage of transformation, and a new political configuration is being formed. According to him, under these conditions, the role of regional actors is increasingly strengthening.
The Turkish leader's speech also indicates the development of Turkish-Azerbaijani relations on a strategic level. Azerbaijan's role is no longer limited to the regional level. Energy routes, transport corridors, and security issues are turning Baku into a significant actor across a broader geography. This is seen as one of the factors behind the growing geopolitical importance of the South Caucasus.
The messages delivered at the Antalya forum also show that competition among global powers has entered a new phase. The emerging multipolar system of competition among the United States, Russia, and China opens new opportunities for regional players. The United States seeks to strengthen alliance networks, Russia is focused on preserving zones of influence, and China is expanding its presence through economic and logistical projects.
Under these conditions, Turkey acts as a balancing and proactive actor, while Azerbaijan is becoming one of the important elements of this balance.
