The Embassy of Azerbaijan in Iran has resumed operations
On April 12, the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Iran resumed its activities.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Azerbaijan, at the initial stage, the diplomatic mission will operate with a limited staff - with the participation of the ambassador and a small number of diplomatic and administrative personnel.
"Taking into account security concerns and organizational aspects, a phased regulation of the diplomatic mission's activities is planned.
The resumption of the Azerbaijani Embassy's work in Iran shortly after the cessation of hostilities and the announcement of a two-week ceasefire is a vivid testament to the special importance that our country attaches to relations with neighboring and friendly Iran. Our republic once again reaffirms its support for initiatives put forward toward ensuring sustainable peace and stability in the region," the statement said.
