The Commander of the Land Forces of Pakistan was awarded a military medal of Azerbaijan

A meeting was held in Islamabad between a delegation headed by the First Deputy Minister of Defense - Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Kerim Veliyev, and the leadership of the Ministry of Defense of Pakistan.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan, the parties discussed the current state of cooperation between the military departments of the two countries, exchanged views on the prospects for its development, and considered issues of mutual interest.

At the end of the meeting, Colonel General Kerim Veliyev, on behalf of the leadership of the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan, congratulated Field Marshal Asim Munir and the personnel of the Pakistani army on Independence Day, as well as on the successes achieved during the "Triumph of Justice" operation.

Field Marshal Asim Munir was awarded the medal "For Merit in Military Cooperation," conferred by order of the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
