Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulated Ilham Aliyev

The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev sent a congratulatory letter to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on the occasion of Victory Day.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to AZERTAJ, the message states:

"Dear Ilham Heydar oglu.

Dear brother.

I sincerely congratulate you, my dear brother, and all the people of Azerbaijan on the glorious holiday of your country - Victory Day, and I am very pleased to express my best wishes.

Five years ago, thanks to the determination and courage of such a wise leader as you, a selflessly devoted and loyal son of the Homeland, an outstanding statesman and political figure, the territorial integrity of your country was restored, and historical justice was ensured.

This grand event not only clearly demonstrated to the whole world the power and great potential of Azerbaijan, but also created a solid foundation for strengthening peace, mutual understanding, and stability in the region.

In this regard, I once again emphasize that we fully support your consistent efforts to ensure peace and sustainable development in the South Caucasus.

During my visits to your country in recent years, we have witnessed the creation of modern infrastructure, the restoration of cultural heritage monuments in the Karabakh region, the improvement of the living standards of the population residing in these territories, and as sincere brothers, we feel a great sense of joy from these unprecedented achievements.

Dear Ilham Heydar oglu, I am confident that our open and productive meetings this year in the charming Azerbaijani cities of Baku, Khankendi, and Gabala, as well as the full implementation of important agreements reached during fruitful negotiations, will bring our strategic partnership and alliance relations to a completely new level.
