Recep Tayyip Erdogan congratulated Ilham Aliyev
President of the Turkish Republic Recep Tayyip Erdogan sent a congratulatory letter to President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
As reported by AZERTAC, the message states:
"Mr. President, dear Brother.
On behalf of my people and myself, I heartily congratulate you on your birthday, and wish Your Excellency and your family health, well-being, and long life.
The steady growth of the power of native Azerbaijan, its growing authority in the region and in the international arena thanks to the skillful leadership and far-sighted policy of Your Excellency are a source of great joy and pride for us.
I would like to emphasize once again my wish that the peace process, begun after the glorious Victory in the Patriotic War, the fifth anniversary of which we celebrated together, will lead to a lasting agreement. I believe that the peaceful atmosphere in the Caucasus, where stability reigns, will serve the development of the entire region.
The brotherly relations and solidarity between Turkey and Azerbaijan, drawing their strength from history, are strengthening every day in accordance with the principle of "One nation, two states," left to us as a legacy by National Leader Heydar Aliyev.
Thanks to the allied relations built on a solid foundation and the high level of cooperation that we demonstrate in all areas, we are unequivocally focused on implementing our joint projects that shape the fate and future of our region.
Dear Brother, I congratulate you on your birthday once again. Taking this opportunity, I convey to the friendly and brotherly people of Azerbaijan our best wishes for well-being and prosperity".
