Further activities in various directions are planned between representatives of civil society of Azerbaijan and Armenia, this activity will be carried out only in a bilateral format.

As BAKU.WS reports, this was told to Report by the chairman of the South Caucasus Research Center Farhad Mammadov, who participated in a meeting with a group of Armenian public figures during their visit to Baku on November 21-22 within the framework of the "Peace Bridge" initiative.

According to him, cooperation covering the next six months was discussed at the meeting.

"The format will now be called the 'Peace Bridge' initiative. During the meeting held during the visit of Armenian public figures to our country, the main topics discussed were activities to inform civil society representatives over the next six months, cooperation between experts, and interaction in the media sphere. The beginning of preparatory work on the implementation of projects in specific areas was also confirmed," said Farhad Mammadov.

He added that the initiative envisions a future meeting not only of the five group members but also of a larger number of civil society representatives.

Recall that within the framework of the "Peace Bridge" initiative, a visit of a group of civil society representatives from Armenia to Azerbaijan took place on November 21-22.

During the meeting, discussions were held about the dynamics of the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, the role of civil society in establishing dialogue, and joint projects for implementation in the near future. Along with this, current topics of interest to the societies of Azerbaijan and Armenia regarding the peace process were considered.
