Azerbaijan's valiant victory in the 44-day war remains a source of joy throughout the Turkic world, an indicator of the achievement of historical justice.
As reported by AZERTAC, this was stated by President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan in a press statement following negotiations with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in Shusha.
The Turkish leader expressed satisfaction at participating in the festive events dedicated to the sixth anniversary of Azerbaijan's Victory in the Patriotic War, honored the memory of the martyrs, and wished longevity to the war veterans.
The head of the Turkish state emphasized the significance of ties with Azerbaijan.
"Relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan have stood the test of time. Today we speak of a unity of hearts, which is embodied in the saying 'One nation, two states.' Our ties draw strength from a shared past. Our brotherhood goes far beyond the commonality of language, history, and culture. That is precisely why today we draw no distinction between the joy of Baku and Ankara," said President Erdogan.
The head of the Turkish state emphasized that those who seek to weaken the brotherhood between Ankara and Baku, enshrined in the Shusha Declaration of June 15, 2021, will never achieve their goals.
