The liberation of the city of Shusha held great symbolic significance and became one of the important stages of the second Karabakh war.
As reported by AZERTAC, this was stated by President Ilham Aliyev in a press statement with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
"Throughout the 44 days, you, my dear brother, and the brotherly Turkish people were by our side," the head of state emphasized.
He noted that Recep Tayyip Erdogan's statement made in the first hours of the war, as well as the phone conversation with him, demonstrated to the entire world that brotherly Turkey stands by Azerbaijan.
