The 44-day Patriotic War once again demonstrated Turkish-Azerbaijani unity.
As reported by AZERTAC, this was stated by President Ilham Aliyev in a press statement with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Recalling that after the war the historic Shusha Declaration was signed in Shusha, the head of state noted:
"This officially elevated our relations to the level of an alliance, although we had always been allies even before that. The peoples of Turkey and Azerbaijan are brotherly peoples. I have repeatedly said that there are no peoples and states in the world as closely connected to each other as ours."
