President Ilham Aliyev: The media environment is currently undergoing rapid transformation

Currently, the media environment is rapidly transforming. Unfortunately, in the global information space, the scale of disinformation, fake news, hybrid threats, deepfakes, abuses of artificial intelligence capabilities and other manipulations is continuously growing.

As reported by BAKU.WS, this is stated in the address of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to the participants of the D-8 Media Forum on the topic "Promoting Dialogue, Cooperation and Regional Solidarity".

The head of state noted that these factors, in addition to seriously affecting the image and internal life of countries, strike at international stability in general and undermine trust between states: "Therefore, one of the main tasks of the D-8 Media Forum is to form reliable cooperation between the media structures of member countries to create a truthful, impartial, objective and responsible information environment".
