President Ilham Aliyev: Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur are already a small paradise corner

The number of people returning to the liberated lands is growing and will now grow at an even higher rate. Because in the first four years, we were mostly engaged in infrastructure projects. We have, one might say, completed the main part. The entire Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur are already provided with a ring electrical network, they are integrated into Azerbaijan's traditional electrical infrastructure.

As reported by AZERTAJ, this was stated by President Ilham Aliyev, speaking at the III Shusha Global Media Forum.

The head of state noted that after the completion of most infrastructure projects, the majority of funds will be directed to the construction of residential buildings. Yesterday, people returned to two villages in the Khojaly district. The number of settlements where former displaced persons live has already reached eighteen.

Recalling that the Great Return program is already being implemented, the President noted that it will be carried out in stages, and the number of returning citizens will grow with each month, with each year. Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur will be revived. "At the beginning of the Great Return, I said that we would turn this region into paradise, and it has already become a small paradise corner. We can see this here with our own eyes," the President emphasized.
