President Ilham Aliyev congratulated President of France Emmanuel Macron
President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev sent a congratulatory letter to the President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron.
As reported by AZERTAC, the message states:
"Dear Mr. President,
I extend my congratulations to you and your entire nation on the occasion of the national holiday of the French Republic.
The productive discussions on the issues on the Azerbaijani-French agenda, the current state and prospects of bilateral ties during the recent telephone conversations with you and our meeting in Copenhagen last year give grounds to speak of the beginning of a new period in the history of interstate relations.
I am confident that, in the interests of our two peoples, we will continue to make joint efforts in the spirit of partnership to develop our relations, which have deep historical roots and rich traditions, in the economic, cultural, educational and other spheres of mutual interest.
On this festive day, I wish the people of France well-being and prosperity."
