Armenia has entered a completely different stage of its history, thanks to the establishment of peace with Azerbaijan.

As reported by Armenian media, this was stated by the country's Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, speaking at today's congress of the ruling "Civil Contract" party.

"This peace was established in Washington on August 8 with the participation and support of US President Donald Trump, as well as thanks to the declaration signed by me and the President of Azerbaijan. August 8 is the culmination, the peak of a long process. For a year and seven months, not a single soldier has died or been wounded as a result of shootings on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border," said N. Pashinyan.

According to the Prime Minister, it is necessary that this 1 year and 7 months turn into 2 years and 7 months, 3 years, 4 years, 5 years, 50 years, 100 years and 200 years.

He also stated that decisions will be made at the ruling party's congress that will be of key importance for Armenia "for the next 100 years."
