Nga Kor Ming: At WUF13, the housing issue is the main agenda
"Participating in WUF13 is a great honor and an enormous pleasure for me. Throughout the forum, many significant achievements await us."
As reported by BAKU.WS, this was stated by the Minister of Housing and Local Government of Malaysia, Nga Kor Ming, who is participating in the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13).
He emphasized that today the global urbanization agenda is coming to the forefront:
"We would like to congratulate Azerbaijan on the successful hosting of this most important international event. Leaders of local government, professionals, scholars, industry representatives, and ministers have gathered here.
As policymakers, we believe that WUF13 is being held at the most appropriate time. This year, the key theme chosen is 'Housing the World, Building Sustainable and Resilient Cities.'"
"In the context of rapid urbanization, we must always remember that no person and no place should be left behind. That is precisely why the housing issue has become the main agenda item at WUF13. Adequate and affordable housing provision is of paramount importance," he added.
